Square handles have an angular cross-section and appear more precise and functional. They fit well with modern kitchens with straight lines, minimalist bathroom furniture, and office furniture. Corner handles are a special type of handle that lies flat and rectangular on the cabinet front. Which model for which room?

For the kitchen, we recommend handles with a robust, easy-care surface and a drilling distance of at least 96 mm. The Vasco in black or stainless steel and the Leonardo Deluxe in black, gold or stainless steel are our best-selling kitchen handles because they are available in many drilling distances and fit a wide range of kitchen styles. For the bathroom, we recommend more compact models starting from 64 mm, which are proportionally suitable for the smaller fronts of bathroom furniture. The Enzo as a corner handle and the Remo as a bar handle are particularly popular for bathroom furniture. In the bedroom and living room, wooden handles made of oak or walnut fit particularly well with natural, warm interior concepts.

Determining the drilling distance: how to find the right handle

The drilling distance, also called the center-to-center distance, is the distance between the center points of the two mounting holes of a furniture handle. It is the most important measurement when buying a handle. Measure the distance between your existing drill holes with a ruler or tape measure. For new furniture without existing drill holes, the following guidelines apply: for drawers up to 40 cm wide, 64 mm to 96 mm are common; for drawers up to 60 cm wide, 96 mm to 160 mm are common; for wide cabinet doors, 320 mm to 640 mm are used. Can I upgrade old furniture with modern handles?

Yes, and this is one of the simplest and most affordable ways to visually refresh furniture. If your existing furniture already has drill holes, you just need to measure the drilling distance and choose a handle of the same size. The replacement takes only a few minutes per handle and only requires a screwdriver. Handle replacement is particularly effective for older kitchens in white or gray, where new black or gold handles modernize the entire appearance.

Which furniture handle is the easiest to care for?

Matte surfaces such as our powder-coated black handles and brushed stainless steel handles are the easiest to care for because they make fingerprints and small smudges less visible than high-gloss surfaces. For kitchens with intensive daily use, we recommend matte black or stainless steel handles, as they retain their neat appearance even after frequent touching and occasional wiping.

How many handles do I need for a standard kitchen?

That depends on the number of drawers and cabinet doors. A standard kitchen with 10 drawers and 8 cabinet doors requires 18 handles. For a complete renovation with new handles, we recommend counting all fronts and ordering two to three spare handles in case a handle is damaged during installation. Yes. Our Leonardo Deluxe and Vasco series are available with drilling distances up to 640 mm. This drilling distance is suitable for pantry cabinets, tall wardrobe doors, and wide sliding doors.
